RXBuyer guide
Reward Card Procurement Timeline
Sequence procurement around decisions and dependencies instead of assuming a standard launch duration. The time needed depends on the proposed Shopify program and the reviews it requires.
Build a dependency-based sequence
Attach actual target dates and owners in your working plan after the scope is understood.
| Stage | Required input | Result needed for the next stage |
|---|---|---|
| Program definition | Merchant objective and customer context | Agreed brief and requirements |
| Provider responses | Shared scope and response format | Comparable answers and open questions |
| Commercial and specialist review | Proposals and relevant evidence | Resolved obligations, costs and responsibilities |
| Implementation planning | Selected approach and confirmed dependencies | Owners and completion criteria |
| Launch readiness | Completed materials and operating arrangements | Accountable launch decision |
Run independent reviews together
Commercial, security and customer-experience reviews can progress alongside each other when they use the same proposed scope. A material change to that scope should return to the affected reviewers rather than being hidden in a late revision.
Allow time for the missing answer
Ask providers which prerequisites affect their proposal and when evidence can be supplied. A calendar entry is an estimate until the underlying dependency is understood. Do not present a procurement target as a customer delivery commitment.
