Reward Card Implementation Readiness
A Shopify reward program is ready to launch when its customer promise, responsibilities and operational arrangements agree. A planned launch date does not resolve missing decisions.
Confirm the readiness gates
Use a named owner and completion evidence for each gate. An unresolved essential item remains open until the responsible team accepts it.
| Gate | Completion evidence |
|---|---|
| Offer | Approved eligibility explanation and campaign terms |
| Recipient journey | Agreed notification, access instructions and help route |
| Order changes | Documented responsibilities for returns and cancellations |
| Service scope | Confirmed provider responsibilities and dependencies |
| Operations | Support and reporting owners can perform their agreed work |
| Launch decision | Accountable owners accept the remaining conditions |
Walk through difficult customer moments
Discuss an eligible order, a changed order and a recipient who needs help. Each should have a coherent explanation without staff inventing policy. This is a readiness conversation, not a reason to publish internal operational procedures.
Do not let a campaign date make the decision
If a required condition is unresolved, adjust the planned launch or the scope through the responsible owners. Customer communications should describe the agreed program, not an anticipated capability.
