Digital Gift Cards
A digital gift card represents value delivered electronically for use under its gift card terms. It may be used as a promotional reward, but its label does not make it equivalent to every reward card.
Separate the gift card from the reason it was given
A gift card can be purchased as a gift or provided in connection with a promotion. For a Shopify campaign, specify which use you intend and review the conditions for that use with the appropriate advisers.
Compare the customer tasks
Look at the proposed gift card experience in the Shopify store alongside the reward card alternative. The useful comparison is what the customer must do and where the value can be used.
